Hello everybody,

thank's for your interest on the Fergie.

Here are some more pictures from the restauration:

Image
The rust removal begins, all parts are blasted with glass.

Image
The engine gets new pistons and bushes.

Image
Engine block after his complete cleaning.

Image
The Engine-Bodypart is almost ready.

Image
A handcoded diesel filter - Rarely had such a laugh !

Image
A shirt sleeves without a cuff, the long way folded and then wrapped. That is a "fine Art" diesel filter!

Image
The Steering box has more cracks than thought. This is a frost damage.

Image
The Steering box from the inside! Up to half totaly oxidized by water. I need a "old New part" - and got one.

Image
The chassis on the way to sand blasting.

Image
Undercoated by the varnisher back to make the sealing work and assemble as far as possible that it can be varnished in one piece.

Image
Rear axel gaskets, sealings and bearings are renewed.

Image
Brakes after new evidence.

Image
Making a pair of original fender holders.

Image
Fits !

Image
The wiring before - afterward. There were still Indicator and Warninglights retrofitted.

In March 2008, my Wife and I took a week of to pick up a Banana Loader in Norfolk.

Back home again:

Image
Fitting of the original front loader and remake the missing parts.

Image
The original Banana Loader. For 1953 a cool construction. I think, we got the colure-tone quiet well.

Image
Remake of the cross-beam for the hydraulic stamps of the Fontlader.

Image
Selfmade construction for a trailer hook for european trailer, the original "English one" you can see below - the "Hitch Hook" - Actually brilliant, because of the deep load point.

Image
08.08.2008 He gaven the first "signs of life" of himself.

Image
A wedding pair with photo baggage train discovers our court for beautiful pictures and the “old tractor”

The date 08.08.08 was a famos Weddingday. This couple came from the Inn next door!

Image
With combined forces of the wedding guests, he is made suitable for a photoscene.

Image
Already he is a star!

Image
The aim is reached! - At noon on the 5.9.2008 I could get the front loader from the varnisher.
On the 7.9.2008 the presentation was with the old-timer club in Walddorfhäslach.
Maybe, one day I'll become even an original front loader fork.

That is a smal overview of geting a wrack back to live !

Thank's for your interest and sorry about my bad English.

Best Regards and a happy new Year 2009 to all of you.

Great pics thanks for posting them. Are the headlight brackets your own design?

Hello Grunt,

Yes, the brackets are "home made".

First I had the Idea of taking the originals from England,

Image

but the regulation in Germany, for getting a registration number, says: two Headlamps !

Usually the Lights where mounted onto the Bonnet, but this doesn’t work because of the front loader – it would smash it !

Image

Question: where are equal points to fix them onto?
I had a few words with gays from the admission, to find a place which was suitable for them. So we both came to the result, that the gearbox screws are the best to attach them.
I had to modify the brackets for two point attachment, by only one point they where vibrating to much.
The first bracket I made, was not high enough and the axel stabilizer where blocked so the front axle could only swing half of its way.

Regards Peter

Fantastic pictures, your fergie WAS in a real state, did you find it in the sea or something (or is mine like that under the hand painted grey gloop!)

I like the front tow hitch, I may do that on mine as it would be ideal for pulling things around the yard any change of some underneath photos or drawings.

Nice restoration frame btw, did you make it or buy it, there may be a market for those!

Lotus Elise S1 160 Sprint racer, 1sth in Cornish Speed series 2009
Landrover Freelander TD4, the only thing I have thats not in bits most of the time.

Hello carbore,

thanks for the praise.

If you mean the Frame, the fergie rest is sitting on, it’s self-made from rest iron lying around.
It’s easy to make, but the best way for moving it around.

The front hitch is from a Kubota Gardentractor.

Regards and a god Year 2009
